Fuji Xerox outsourcing push
Tokyo-based printer maker Fuji Xerox Co has announced plans to increase its local document outsourcing service footprint.
“Thailand is our second-largest document outsourcing market in Southeast Asia, after Singapore, thanks to widespread adoption by large enterprises,” said Masashi Sakamoto, president of subsidiary Fuji Xerox Global Services Co.
“We see double-digit growth in the document outsourcing service in Thailand each year.”
He said many multinational companies and local large corporations had realised the benefits and cost advantages of outsourcing services including documents. Telecommunications, banking and insurance, manufacturing and state enterprises are active in document outsourcing.
Fuji Xerox expects more companies to transform paper documents into electronic files to serve growing online information and the proliferation of mobile devices and cloud computing technology.
Fuji Xerox recently introduced the next generation of managed print services (MPS) in Thailand.
Ram Rao, vice-president of Fuji Xerox Global Services, said the new MPS provides telecommuters and mobile workers with easy and secure printing access, and enhanced productivity in documentrelated workflow.
“Users can save 10-25% of the costs associated with our outsourcing document services,” he said.
Mr Sakamoto said Fuji Xerox expected sales of US$82 billion from the new MPS next year in Asia-Pacific including Japan.
In fiscal 2014, the Fuji Xerox Global Service contributed revenue of 15.7% of the group’s total of ¥1.19 billion (346 million baht).
A report by Massachusetts-based market research firm InfoTrends Inc said the market would be worth $25.6 billion globally this year, including $2.8 billion in Asia-Pacific.
