The “Galleries’ Night” is back to turn the City of Angels into a large, surprising, festive and friendly open-museum, full of the colours of contemporary art for two nights, today and tomorrow.

Part of the last two editions of “La Fete” festival, this year’s event is becoming an independent affair that invites art lovers to discover, visit and appreciate contemporary artistic creations at 38 galleries and art spaces which are divided into two art (train) tracks and will be open from 7pm until late.

The galleries that are located along the BTS Silom Line and by the bank of Chao Phraya River will open its doors for nocturnal visits on Nov 27 and those situated along the BTS Sukhumvit Line on Nov 28.

To mark the climate change conference, “COP 21”, which will take place in Paris from Monday to Dec 11, the “Galleries’ Night” will also include an environmental dimension, through artwork created at the French embassy by French light designer Matteo Messervy, with the support of Philips Electronics (Thailand).

This artwork, which will floodlight the front face of the embassy’s new building, will launch the event on Friday and will last until the end of the conference.

A brand new mobile app, Galleries’ Night, which was created especially for this occasion, will enrich the two art tracks and allow participants to find all the information they need to enjoy the experience even more. The app is available for both iOS and Android.
