Prawit rules out major China drill

ARMED FORCES: Thailand has no plans to hold a major military drill with China despite closer cooperation between the two countries, Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon says.

Gen Prawit was commenting as the first-ever Falcon Strike drill between Thai and Chinese air forces in Nakhon Ratchasima ended yesterday. It is just a small-scale exercise, with China sending six Su-27 fighter jets for the 23-day drill, he said.
