Mission impossible

Re: “City police chief given 3 months to fix Bangkok traffic”, (Post Online, Nov 26).

Give a man a title that even sounds like chief, and he starts acting like he is one.

Police chief Chakthip Chaijinda has “ordered” acting Bangkok police chief, Sanit Mahathavorn, to reduce traffic by 40-50% by February or face repercussions.

I don’t know what Chief Chakthip has against Chief Sanit, if anything, but the whole world knows that what he is demanding is utterly impossible. In fact, I’ll go so far as to say, even Chief Chakthip himself could not accomplish what he is demanding Gen Sanit to do.

It’s time to get real.
