Anime fest Seacon Bangkae, Phetkasem Road 11am-8pm, until tomorrow

The “Seacon Anime Festa 2015” features popular characters from One Piece and Gundam animation series. The One Piece zone sees the Straw Hat Pirates on adventure with the Thousand Sunny Ship, the life-sized Luffy model, hunting games and a live performanc­e by mascots of the five main characters on Friday at 6pm and Saturday and Sunday at noon, 3pm and 6pm. The Gundam zone showcases 30 Gunpla models, seven Beargguys, a Gunpla workshop on how to construct a Gunpla model on Friday at 6pm and on Saturday and Sunday at noon, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm. A large selection of copyrighte­d products and souvenirs from DEX will be sold at special prices.

Held to celebrate its 72nd anniversar­y, the Engineerin­g Institute of Thailand under His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s patronage (EIT) is holding a special exhibition, “Thailand VS Disasters 2016 — Have you prepared yourself?”. Visitors will learn about the background and nature of various disasters, guidance on prevention and solution for disasters relief. There will be a talk on home disasters, prevention and solutions at 11am, a symposium by famous experts in engineerin­g and disasters management at 1.30pm and an engineerin­g clinic service.

Pattaya fireworks Central Pattaya Beach, Chon Buri Today, 5pm-11pm

The last day of “Pattaya Internatio­nal Fireworks Festival 2015” features four 10-minute fireworks displays from China, the Philippine­s, Korea and Japan. The night opens with a special show featuring 1,000 purple fireworks in hour of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s 60th birthday at 8pm and concludes with a concert at 10pm. There will also be entertainm­ent and activities along the beach roads from North to South Pattaya, starting at 5pm.

Open house College of Management Mahidol University Vibhavadi Rangsit Tomorrow, 9.30am-3.30pm

The “CMMU Open House” will see the university’s alumni sharing tips on how to succeed in business and answering why a master’s degree matters. In-depth informatio­n on 14 interestin­g courses will be provided. The morning session is for the Thai programme and the afternoon session is for the internatio­nal programme.
