Five things you need to know this week

- Story by Pattramon Sukprasert

1 Admit it — you feel annoyed when ads and surveys keep popping up while surfing the internet. But

Doo Ads may be an app that makes you rich. Hmm, not really, but at least you can get those Line stickers you want for free! How does that work? Doo Ads gathers ad lists, surveys and apps installed together, while users can collect real money by completing given tasks like watching ads, completing surveys or downloading apps. Currently, users can redeem money to top up on mobile phones or get a free prepaid card. Now the app is available only on Google Play, but will be on the App Store soon. 2 If doing a traditional gym workout is too boring, try a Pulse powered by Clubber

cise class at Virgin Active (virginactive. co.th). The exciting nightclub vibes come in a new workout experience, a big hit in England. With the upbeat tunes from the 90s and recent EDM hits plus disco lights, you get down on moves that make your heart pump and adrenalin run. Each class feels like a party and it burns about 500 calories. 3 The intention of building a community first, then a mall, makes this newly opened loft-style mall in Thonglor 17 more interesting. And now it’s the hangout of all hipsters. The market curates specialised purveyors like coffee roaster Roots, health cuisine restaurant Absolute Fit Food, French artisan boulangerie Maison Jean Philippe and Chinese street food kiosk Xiao Chi. The Commons is not a place only to eat fancy food, grab a coffee and check in on Instagram, it’s a communal space where anyone can hang out just like in their own backyard and enjoy a myriad of activities like craft workshops or yoga classes. Check out thecommonsbkk.com. 4 Love paintball but hate getting bruises? Laser tag could be the answer. Lazgam (lazgam.com) is Thailand’s first indoor laser tag centre that will let you experience a sci-fi shooting atmosphere. Players can enjoy their adventure in a 500m² futuristic maze. Grab a laser gun target and tag other players while hiding from opponents’ radars. Try this new recreational activity on the fifth floor of Holiday Inn Bangkok Sukhumvit, Sukhumvit 22.

Recorder is a photo exhibition that explores the concept of time by using photography as a time machine that takes us into a certain point of a lifetime. Young Thai photographers Chalaruk Rueanchomchoei, Peera Vorapreechapanich and Soopakorn Srisakul, and curator Anothai Oupkum, capture photographs that help us reunite with some detailed memories. The exhibition runs until Feb 28 at RMA Institute, Sukhumvit 22.
