MIND-BLOWING BURGERS

-

Masami Sushi (11am-11pm, G/F, Mille Malle, Sukhumvit Soi 20, fb.com/masamisushi) serves a variety of Japanese fusion dishes, but what perhaps stand out the most is its Lab ramen burgers (B160 for chicken or B180 for pork or beef). Chef Bank, with experience of working in restaurants in Miami, created this unique take on the traditional hamburger, which he claims to be original and unrelated to the ramen burgers first popularised by Keizo Shimamoto in 2013.

Between ramen buns is a juicy patty, plus rocket leaves, deep-fried shallots, cheddar cheese, bacon, teriyaki sauce and spicy mayo. Bank recently introduced katsu (breaded and deep-fried) patties, adding crunchiness. You can also find pop-up shop of Lab ramen burger (fb.com/labramenburger) at weekend markets and events. A jaded burger buff should definitely give this try.

His other creative creations include shrimp tempura coated in almond flakes and deep-fried cheesecake coated in almond flakes.
