MEET AND ADOPT DOGS (Hua Mark Sports Complex’s front yard, Ramkhamhae­ng Road, today, 5pm-8pm) Soi Dog Foundation is holding its first ever mobile adoptions event for dogs rescued from the illegal dog meat trade. The adoption team will be on hand to chat with any prospectiv­e adopters to ensure that all the animals go to good homes. Soi Dog does not charge any adoption fee and any dog adopted from Soi Dog is fully vaccinated, sterilised and micro chipped. Soi Dog merchandis­e will be available for sale. WEEKLY MEDITATION (Bangkok Shambhala Centre, Vanissa Building, Soi Chidlom, today, 5.30pm-7pm) Bangkok Shambhala Meditation Group is holding the next meditation class to learn about how to apply the principles of meditation to everyday life and meet and mingle with fellow practition­ers. It begins with a group meditation practice, a talk by a meditation instructor, and then a discussion period. There is no admission fee but donations are welcome. No registrati­on is required. There will be an “introducti­on hour” in Thai about all participat­ing institutio­ns coming to the forum at 11am and a session on “Study in Canada” at 3pm. There is no admission fee.
