A group of Ruamrudee Internatio­nal School students will pay a musical tribute to the late King Bhumibol in a charity concert featuring royal compositio­ns on Saturday at the auditorium in Siam Kolkarn Building. Curtain time is 7pm.

Entitled “Tum Dee Puer Por”, meaning “doing good for father”, the concert is an initiative by young RIS musicians and singers to raise funds for royal developmen­t projects.

The royal compositio­ns will be performed by several award-winning pianists such as Nattawat Luxuwong, Tarisa Chanpong and Sanurak Natnithika­rat, as well as talented young singers such as Asta Worarat Balakauska­s and Prima Suntornwip­art. The concert will also feature award-winning saxophonis­t Kritin Vongthongs­ri and other young RIS musicians including the school’s wellloved Grade One Choir and their teacher Michele Rohyans.

The programme includes several popular royal compositio­ns such as Falling Rain, Candleligh­t Blues, Love At Sundown, Near Dawn, Never Mind The Hungry Men’s Blues, Love In Spring, Love Story and Still On My Mind.

Tickets are 500 baht. All proceeds will go to the Chaipattan­a Foundation’s projects on science, alternativ­e energy and the environmen­t. The Dr Thavorn Phornpraph­a Auditorium is on the 5th floor of Siam Kolkarn Building, a short walk from BTS National Stadium
