A variety of delectable food and desserts straight from Kyushu Island, Japan, will be available for tasting at the Mall Nakhon Ratchasima, from now until March 7.

The Mall Japan Discovery Enchanted Kyushu will transport visitors to the Japanese island of Kyushu, with authentic cuisine and cultural performances. Set in the atmosphere of Yufuin, a city of hot springs and mountain scenery, the event will offer such culinary gems as beef imported from Nagasaki Prefecture, seasoned cod roe from Fukuoka Prefecture and original ramen from Kumamoto Prefecture. Participants also can indulge in cheesecake and roll cake from a local bakery. More than 50 booths will be stationed at the event, which will include other shops along with package tours at special prices.

Visitors will also be able to experience a saké opening ceremony and a Japanese cooking show, with celebrities Nittha “Mew” Jirayungyurn and Sunny Suwanmethanon. From March 4-5, performances from Kyushu-based girl group LinQ will take centre stage. A mini-concert from Worrawech “Dan” Danuwong will also take place on March 5, where the actorsinger will share stories about his visit to the island of Kyushu.

On a more playful note, performances starring Muay Thaishi, a fish-mascot sporting Thai boxing shorts, will light up the hall. Muay Thaishi was created to commemorate the 130th anniversary of the relationship between Thailand and Japan, and combines Muay Thai with the humble fish, an auspicious Japanese delicacy.

The Mall Japan Discovery Enchanted Kyushu will be held on the first floor of the Grand Hall, the Mall Nakhon Ratchasima.
