Ceresia Coffee Roasters

-

Those with international taste buds can’t go past Ceresia Coffee Roasters. After a successful beginning with the Sukhumvit branch, this coffee collective has taken its famous brews to the Sathon/Silom area. The team here showcases a selection of specialty beans, sourced from across the globe, which are roasted in a weekly rotation. You can also choose the way your cup is brewed, opting for either the pour-over or espresso method.

For B100, I tried the weekly special made via the pourover technique. When I visited, the showcase bean was the Columbian La Joyeria. Strong, slightly bitter and harnessing a refreshing tang, I was totally buzzed after one cup. If you like what you try, you can purchase a packet of the worldly beans (starting from B480), and the erudite barristers are happy to make flavour recommendations based on your goto home brewing method.

For the wannabe coffee alchemist, Ceresia Coffee Roasters also run Saturday classes. Held in English and Thai, these seminars teach the ins and outs of coffee roasting and brewing. Single admissions are B2,000 per person, while an arranged group of four is B1,700 per person. With a terrifically tangy drip and an excellent educational environment, Ceresia Coffee Roasters is a must for the coffee nuts.
