‘TRUE’ JAZZ SET FOR HUA HIN
Jazz musicians from all over the world will fill the air of Hua Hin with world-class jazz music during the “True Jazz Festival At Hua Hin” this Friday and Saturday from 6pm to midnight. The venue is the lawn in front of True Arena Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan.
Organised by The Agency, the festival will gather 50 world-class and leading Thai artists presenting a perfect mix of jazz music with the varieties of other musical genres such as fusion, funk, soul, R&B, pop and molam (local northeastern Thai music).
The line-up includes legendary bands like Al McKay’s Earth, Wind & Fire Experience, winner of six Grammy Awards and Grammy Lifetime Achievement 2016; Cory Henry and The Funk Apostles, winner of three Grammy Awards; The Yellowjackets, winner of two Grammy Awards and the Benny Golson Quartet featuring Joris Teppe.
Thai artists will include Soul After Six, Bangkok Brass Band featuring Bew Chawaree, Thailand All Stars Jazz Orchestra led by Den Yuprasert and featuring Pod Moderndog, and The Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band. Leading jazz instructors from several leading universities in Thailand will headline a big band as well.
