Circus already ‘dark’
Re: “Famed circus set to go dark after 146year run”, (Spectrum, April 16).
In your outrageously biased article, the readers are misled into thinking that the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey circus had stopped abusing animals and were never legally found to have engaged in animal abuse.
Then how come they paid a US$270,000 fine after the US Department of Agriculture sued them for violating the Animal Welfare Act? That was the largest fine in history for violating that law. ERICH BAHRT
