JEWEL-SETTING SIBLINGS
With their father running a jewellery atelier, Armenian brothers Arto and Saro Artinian have followed his footsteps in creating exquisite jewellery.
Though at a tender age, the siblings started sketching jewellery featuring emeralds and sapphires, then not realising gemstones’ greater value. Today, running the Bangkok-based Maison Artinian, they aim to offer the finest jewellery with contemporary designs, such as those under the Sartoro line, whose 2017 Spring Moods collection comes under four concepts: Riviere, Peacock, Flora and Jolie.
The delicate Flora pieces, for instance, combine ethereal design lines with edgy settings of blooming diamonds to represent the vernal season.
Pear-shaped diamonds predominantly adorn flowing white-gold Riviere pieces, but the graceful necklace also sparkles with additional, round diamonds.
In pink- and white-gold variations, Peacock classic designs combine different diamond cuts in rings and earrings, whereas a pearl necklace and matching earrings are subtly adorned with round and marquise diamonds while boasting a colourful play of blue sapphire, tanzanite and turquoise.
The Artinian brothers have been sorting out precious stones since they were young, acquiring expertise in selecting the finest gems for their handcrafted highend jewellery.
This is showcased at the retail boutique located in Mandarin Oriental Bangkok’s Author’s Wing Building.
