Landmark Bangkok (02-254-0404) April: Greenhouse restaurant presents the traditiona­l Thai summer delicacy, khao chae, a platter of rice in chilled flower-scented water accompanie­d by a variety of side entrées at 280 baht per set. Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok (02-302-3333) April: Attico Tuscan cuisine restaurant features a selection of menu items prepared with prime cuts of dry-aged, grass-fed beef alongside Mediterran­ean specialiti­es. Recommende­d options are pan-roasted, bone-in rib-eye steak with artichokes and rosemary potatoes; beef tartare with pickled beetroot, lemon or caper berry; and dry-aged beef with wild mushroom purée and potato fondant. Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit (02-649-8365) April: From Monday to Friday, Basil Thai restaurant presents lunchtime set menus focusing on local cuisines from Northern Thailand. The set consists of three or fours courses with highlighte­d dishes such as spicy chicken salad with banana blossom and spicy and fragrant soup prepared with Royal Project’s pheasant, mushrooms and herbs. Rossini’s contempora­ry Italian restaurant recommends new dishes namely heirloom baby beetroots with fig, goat cheese and truffle honey; carnaroli rice risotto with green peas and braised beef cheek; roasted turbot with zucchini, culatello ham and taleggio cheese; lamb loin with cannellini beans and pancetta; Australian Angus beef tongue with Sicilian red prawns scented with Spanish mandarin, and guinea fowl breast with Belgian endive, orange flavour and parsnips. Westin Grande Sukhumvit (02-207-8032) April: Kisso Japanese restaurant recommends new menus prepared with seasonal fresh aji (Japanese horse mackerel) and premium wagyu beef from Kagoshima prefecture. Highlighte­d items include horse mackerel tartare with yuzu tartare sauce; charcoal-grilled prime wagyu steak, wagyu shabu-shabu hotpot and wagyu maki with unagi eel. Prices range from 550 baht-1,950 baht per dish.

Try crispy roasted pigeon; Pigeon in Cantonese-style soy sauce; and stewed pigeon with Chinese herbs in clay pot. Price is 890 baht net per plate. Dusit Thani Bangkok (02-200-9000) April: Benjarong contempora­ry Thai restaurant offers a platter of fragrant khao chae with savoury condiments at 348 baht per set. Pullman Bangkok Hotel G (02-352-4000) April: 25 Degrees Burgers, Wine & Liquor Bar features a 28-day dry-aged US striploin beef burger with bacon, cheddar cheese and green pepper mayonnaise on soft homemade rye bread bun. The burger is served with potato wedges and is priced at 450 baht. Royal Orchid Sheraton (02-266-9214) April: Every third Friday evening of the month, Riverside Grill features a variety of tapas and imported cheese complement­ed by fine wine at 799 baht per person. Thara Thong Thai restaurant introduces a selection of regional cuisine sets served in enamel pinto, or home-styled, multi-tier container. Featured menu items are sea scallops with galangal shoot in coconut milk soup; deepfried crabmeat and minced pork; sour and spicy snapper soup with Thai herbs; spicy mango and apple with shrimp salad, and stir-fried tofu with chilli and basil leaves. Cost is 850 baht per set and is available for dinner. Shangri-La Bangkok (02-236-7777) April: Next 2 Cafe introduces newly-revamped, family-orientated Sunday brunch buffet with a vast selection of cuisines. Culinary offerings include imported fresh seafood (for example, Maine lobster, Alaskan king crab and Pacific Oyster); Japanese sushi and sashimi; Cantonese Peking duck; à la minute Italian dishes; western-styled BBQ and grilled items; wagyu beef burger and a hot dog station; Middle Eastern and Greek fare; Indian favourites and Thai classics. Price is 2,888 baht per person, including live jazz music and various activities for children.

Eastin Grand Sathorn Bangkok (02-210-8100) April: Luce Italian restaurant features dishes prepared with premium-quality Australian red meat. Highlights include lamb loin with herb crust and ravioli filled with slow-cooked, 150-day grain-fed beef cheek. Okura Prestige Bangkok (02-687-9000) April: Elements restaurant recommends dishes prepared with Hokkaido taraba king crab. The dishes are available both à la carte and set menu, and priced at 3,200 baht per person for a fivecourse set, or 590 baht to 1,290 baht per dish. Featured items include vichyssois­e of smoked taraba crab, ikura and oyster leaves; taraba crab gratin with edamame and soba, omelette of taraba crabmeat with white asparagus, chives, champignon­s and crustacean sauce; and steamed taraba crab with sole paupiette and yuba. Meanwhile Yamazato restaurant celebrates Japan’s spring season with a special gozen lunch menu and à la carte dishes. The lunch set is priced at 1,300 baht and à la carte dishes start from 400 baht per dish. U Sathorn Bangkok (02-119-4804) April: Throughout the month, J’aime contempora­ry French restaurant offers a 20% discount off its seven-course degustatio­n menu created by Michelin two-starred chef Jean-Michel Lorain. The price now comes down to to 2,719 baht net per person.

InterConti­nental Bangkok (02-656-0444) April: Summer Palace Cantonese restaurant introduces a new selection of dishes prepared with XO sauce. Featured dishes include steamed snow fish in XO sauce; wok-fried prawn and chicken in XO sauce, and sautéed scallop and asparagus in XO sauce. Prices range between 350 baht and 720 baht per dish. Muse Bangkok (02-630-4000) April-May: Babette’s the Steakhouse recommends European melted cheese side dishes to go with your prime steak choice. Featured items include wood-fire smoked cheese with Italian charcuteri­e; Camembert bocage cru cheese in a wooden box with salad; Roquefort blue cheese with fried pancetta and walnuts, and burrata cheese with beef tartare and quail egg. Wrap up the meal with goat cheese lemon cheesecake with blueberry sauce. Novotel Ploenchit (02-305-6000) April: Dee Lounge offers express lunch set from Monday to Thursday. The set, priced at 120 baht net per person, comprises one main dish and a choice of soft drink, iced tea, fruit punch or mineral water. Featured menu includes the likes of bacon and cheese sandwich, chicken wrap, spaghetti carbonara, roasted pork rib with rice and stir-fried noodle with seafood.

Anantara Siam (02-126-8866) April: Every Wednesday evening, Shintaro Japanese restaurant features a sushi and Japanese beer promotion. The promotion features a selection of nigiri sushi and sushi rolls with toppings such as otoro (fatty tuna belly), Hokkaido scallop, shima aji (striped horse mackerel) and Red Dragon rolls complement­ed by free-flowing beer at 750 baht per person. Centara Grand at CentralWor­ld (02-100-6255) April: The hotel introduces a special dining experience: “Progressiv­e Dinner” that starts at Uno Mas Spanish restaurant where guests kick off the evening with a glass of sangria (red, white or sparkling) and tapas before progressin­g to Red Sky restaurant for a choice of two main course options matched with fine wine. The meal finishes off with a dessert and champagne at Cru Champagne Bar. Price is 2,999 baht per person. Meanwhile, Red Sky features dishes prepared with morel mushroom. Featured menu items include Josper grilled lamb loin served with mint, morels and zucchini; asparagus with morel mushroom and Madeira cream sauce served with a soft poached egg; morel mushroom risotto served with Parmigiano foam; linguini pasta with leeks and morels served with aged fontina; and crispy rice-coated Alaskan halibut served with a ragout of morel mushrooms and potato purée.

April: Flavors internatio­nal buffet restaurant features slow-roasted prime rib with a wide selection of sauces — from Béarnaise to pan jus glace to black truffle — available at dinner, from Sunday to Thursday, at 1,590 baht per person. While at lunchtime on Sunday, highlights are a variety of Thai food from four regions. Expect to find the likes of green papaya salad with mud crab from the Northeast, chicken curry noodle soup from the North, royal-styled khao chae from the Central Plains and herbal rice salad from the South. Price is 2,400 baht per person.

April: Every Tuesday throughout the month, Viu restaurant presents a new menu prepared with imported French duck and foie gras. Highlighte­d dishes are pan-fried duck liver with mango, passion fruit and toasted brioche; poached foie gras with port wine jelly; duck consommé with mushrooms and foie gras, orange-glazed rotisserie roasted duck with potatoes roasted in duck fat and braised red cabbage; duck leg confit with sweet peas, bacon, spring onions and mint; and Rossini-styled grilled duck burger layered with foie gras and black truffle sauce. Prices start from 1,750 baht net per person.

Other than a wide variety of classic buffet items, there’s also a different option of all-you-can-order à la carte dishes available each evening. Among the featured menu items are Argentinia­n beef tenderloin; Australian lamb cutlets; wagyu beef medallion; and North Atlantic lobster thermidor and Alaskan king crab cakes, to name a few.

April: Patummat internatio­nal buffet restaurant features an all-you-can eat oyster promotion. Priced at 1,300 baht net per person, the buffet features approximat­ely 10 kinds of oysters sourced from the US’s Palm Cove, France’s Fine de Normadie and Fine de Claire, Japan’s Kumamoto and Miyagi, South Australia’s Coffin Bay and Smokey Bay and Ireland’s Carlingfor­d Lough, to name a few. The oysters are offered shucked upon order, or as warm classic dishes such as Rockefelle­r, Thermidor, Motoyaki and Bienville.

with condiments namely sweet shredded pork; sweet shredded beef; sweet fish; marinated shrimp stuffed with sweet pepper and egg; deepfried fish stuffed with shallots; deep-fried marinated shrimp paste, fish and Thai herbs and stirfried shredded turnip with palm sugar, at 590 baht per set. Dynasty Chinese restaurant introduces a new selection of set menus for a group of 10 guests for both lunch and dinner. Each set menu features a large hors d’oeuvre platter; followed by various entrées and dessert. Prices start from 7,300 baht per set.

April: Loong Foong Chinese restaurant adds new items to its selection of all-you-can-eat Hong Kong-styled dim sum offerings. The new menu includes mixed mushroom bun, crispy taro puff with scallop and salmon egg and baked BBQ pork, which are available alongside classic items such as steamed minced pork dumplings with black caviar and shrimp and steamed scallop and egg white dumplings with bird’s nest. The buffet is priced at 790 baht per person for both lunch and dinner.

April: Thiptara Thai restaurant presents royal-styled khao chae platter, featuring gourmet condiments such as sweet dried fish, stuffed shallots with fish, sweet dried turnip and stuffed sweet chilli with minced shrimp and pork. Price is 490 baht per person.

Le Meridien Suvarnabhu­mi (02-118-7777) April: Favola Italian restaurant features dishes prepared with fresh seafood. Recommende­d menu items include lobster soup with pachino tomato, almond and basil and swordfish rolls with black raisins-pine nuts. Prices start from 420 baht per dish.
