King Arthur: Legend of the Sword

The Knights of the Round Table get a hipster makeover in this version of King Arthur. Charlie Hunnam plays Arthur, the rightful heir of the throne who as a child witnesses the murder of his father. Arthur is orphaned and grows up a brothel, but when the mad King Vortigen (Jude Law) launches a brutal crackdown, the reluctant future-king pulls out the Excalibur and fight for his people. Directed by Guy Ritchie.

Song to Song

Ryan Gosling, Rooney Mara and Michael Fassbender star in this dreamy love story about obsession and betrayal, set against the music scene in Texas. Directed by Terrence Malick. Limited release.

In this French film, Kristen Stewart plays Maureen, a Paris-based personal shopper for a supermodel. Maureen had a twin brother who recently died, and who promised that he’d try to contact her from the afterlife. Wo bu shi Pan Jin Lian (I Am Not Madame Bovary)

Chinese superstar Fan Bingbing stars as Li Xuelian who files a fake divorce with her husband (Zonghan Li) to secure a second apartment in the city reserved by the government for single people. Her husband later remarries a different women forcing Li to take things to court. The legal battle drags on but Li doesn’t give up the fight. Directed by Xiaogang Feng.

Fast And Furious 8

Life seems to return to normal now that Dom (Vin Diesel) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) are on their honeymoon while Brian and Mia have also retired from the game. But things change when a mysterious woman (Charlize Theron) seduces Dom back into the world of crime making him betray his family and people close to him. Directed by F. Gary Gray.

Yu Wo Wakasuhodo No Atsui Ai (Her Love Boils Bathwater)

In this Japanese drama, Rie Miyazawa plays Fubata, a terminally ill woman who runs a bathhouse in a small town. Her husband has left her for another woman. When she catches up with him, she finds out a heartbreak­ing truth that he’s caring for a daughter he never knew he had. Her path to reconcilia­tion and redemption will invoke tears.
