Top K-pop star G-Dragon will return to the Kingdom for two rounds of a solo concert at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani, on July 7-8.

Presented by Live Nation BEC-Tero, the “G-Dragon 2017 World Tour <ACT III, M.O.T.T.E> Live in Bangkok” will mark his second time performing solo in Thailand. It is part of his world tour <ACT III, M.O.T.T.E>, which will include at least 24 shows in 19 cities in Asia, North America and Oceania.

M.O.T.T.E has two meanings in Korean, “mother’s womb” and “from birth”. This also is an abbreviation of “Moment Of Truth The End” — the moment of truth being the loneliness and anguish hidden behind the glamorous life as a result of his massive success.

G-Dragon is the stage name of rapper, singer-songwriter Kwon Ji-yong, who is also the leader and producer of Korean hiphop boy band Big Bang, who performed in Bangkok two years ago. He has penned almost all of the group’s major hits. Six of the songs that he produced have received more than 1 billion views on YouTube.

He debuted as a solo artist with the release of Heartbreaker in 2009. The album topped the Gaon Chart, earned Album of the Year from the Mnet Asian Music Awards and became the top-selling album by a male artist that year. In 2013, he embarked on his first solo world tour, “One Of A Kind”, which drew 570,000 fans to 27 shows in 13 cities across nine countries.

Tickets cost 2,500, 3,500, 4,500, 5,500, 6,500 and 8,000 baht and will go on sale on Saturday at 10am at all Thai Ticket Major booths and www.thaiticketmajor.com.
