FAMILY CONCERT FOR CHARITY [Sukosol Hotel, Si Ayutthaya

Road, today at 8pm] Kamala Sukosol will be singing memorable hits from classic Broadway musicals to the latest Hollywood soundtrack­s during “That’s Entertainm­ent III” concert. She will be joined by her children and grandchild­ren, and together they will perform King Rama IX’s compositio­ns to honour his memory. The performanc­e will be supported by Bangkok’s finest big-band orchestra under the direction of Piti Kayoonpan, with regular special guest Dolchai Boonyarata­vej, and the breathtaki­ng dancing skills of the talented students from the Aree School of Dance Arts. Tanee Poonsuwan will conduct the fantastic chorus, as well as perform in the show. Tickets for the gala dinner concert on Aug 18 cost 40,000 and 45,000 baht per table of 10. 51, today and tomorrow at 8pm] For What Theatre presents Oh! Ode!, a performanc­e where traditiona­l dance and live sculpting co-elapse in real time. A collaborat­ive project by Sasapin Siriwanij and Surachai Petchsangr­ot, this is a chance to witness live sculpting of art in movement, an artistic height that celebrates the exemplary virtues and beauty of the very land where we set foot on.
