It presents a line up of all-you-can-eat antipasti, cold cuts, wood-fired pizzas, salads and cheeses. The buffet includes an a la cart main dish, from selection of lamb shank, seafood platter, shrimp scampi and osso buco. Prices are 650 baht per person, and 800 baht per person inclusive of dessert. Avani Riverside (02-431-9100) Sept 7-8: Attitude presents special dinners by guest chef Nelly Robinson, a current finalist of Gault Milau 2017’s Chef of the Year Award, from Sydney, Australia. His seven-course wine-pairing dinner includes poached Phuket lobster and rare Black Onyx tenderloin. Price is 7,800 baht per person inclusive of Australian pairing wine. (02-059-5999) Until Sept 15: Pagoda Chinese restaurant recommends its signature abalone dishes, including sliced abalone with cucumber salad and homemade dressing, braised whole “three-head” abalone with superior oyster sauce, baked abalone in clay pot with chicken ball and glass noodle in XO sauce, and baked charcoal egg noodle with whole abalone.

Bangkok Marriott Sukhumvit (02-797-0000) September: The District Grill Room & Bar introduces a new menu prepared with prime-quality chicken. Dishes include French Label Rouge chicken with summer truffle butter; Label Rouge chicken oyster glazed with chicken jus; locally-farmed roast whole chicken with spinach and mash, and chicken wings with Devil sauce.

Centara Grand at CentralPla­za Lardprao (02-541-1234)

September: Suan Bua Thai restaurant features dishes prepared with local fish and seafood. Highlights include deep-fried grouper fish with three-flavour sauce; deep-fried whisker sheath fish with red curry sauce and crispy rhizome root; squid stuffed with minced shrimp salad, and fluffy sepat Siam fish salad with spicy green mango sauce.

Centara Grand at CentralWor­ld (02-100-6255) September: The newly-opened Dynasty Chinese restaurant features introducto­ry set lunch menus that come with a variety of all-you-can-eat dim sum. Priced at 850 baht and 1,250 baht per person, the separate sets include your choice of starter, main entree and dessert, plus unlimited dim sum delicacies. Dishes include steamed black mushroom and shark’s fin in XO sauce, snow fish rolls with anchovy caviar, Phuket lobster wonton in Chinese herbal soup, crabmeat siew mai with Japanese mushroom, steamed Australian scallop, rice noodle rolls with Alaskan king crab, bird’s nest spring rolls with shrimp, deepfried bean curd rolls Shanghai style and deep fried Chinese chive dumpling with scallop.

Chatrium Riverside Bangkok (02-307-8888) September: Silver Waves Chinese restaurant’s highlighte­d dishes are baked chicken with Szechuan chilli Sauce in clay pot, deep-fried chicken; and Hong Kong-style braised chicken with Chinese herbs. Price is 499 baht net per plate.

Dusit Thani Bangkok (02-200-9000)

Sept 6-8: The rooftop restaurant 22 Kitchen and Bar presents guest chef Hervé Rodriguez of Paris’ MaSa restaurant. Rodriguez’s four-course creative set lunch is priced at 1,950 baht per person, a six-course set diner costs 3,750 baht per person. Additional wine pairing packages are also available.

InterConti­nental Bangkok (02-656-0444) September: Espresso internatio­nal buffet restaurant highlights Sunday Brunch. At 2,100 baht per person and 999 baht for a child aged six to 12, guests will be treated to a line up of Thai and Mediterran­ean dishes. Highlights include Maine lobster; Fine de Claire oysters; Australian and New Zealand mussels, and Alaskan and Chilean crab. There are also prime meat selections, Japanese sashimi and authentic Cantonese fare. Extra beverage packages also are on offer.

Landmark Bangkok (02-254-0404)

September: Atrium internatio­nal buffet restaurant features seasonal special crab from Khlong Khlone village in Samut Songkhram. The

crabs will be prepared in various styles such as steamed, stir-fried and charcoal grilled. Prices for the buffet are 2,000 baht per person for a weekday dinner and 2,500 baht per person for Friday-Saturday dinner and Sunday brunch. A group of four dining guests only pays for two. Okura Prestige Bangkok (02-687-9000) September: Hokkaido summer salmon is the seasonal highlight at Elements restaurant. Dishes include steamed salmon with a green tea velouté, white asparagus, soya beans and kinako; salmon rillettes served on toasted brioche with fennel, ikura and hajikami ginger; house smoked salmon with mustard sauce, avocado, smoked tofu and soba croutons; salmon poached in olive oil served with fresh yuzu, panisses and sorrel butter; and grilled salmon with charred onions, daikon petit farcis, eggplant and tarragon jus. Prices start from 420 baht per dish. Up & Above restaurant recommends dishes prepared with mud crab such as marinated fresh mud crab salad with avocado, spiced tomato salsa and basil sauce; risotto of mud crab with asparagus, tomatoes and tarragon; stir-fried mud crab with yellow curry powder; and whole mud crab linguine with green olives, basil, garlic and chilli. Prices start from 480 baht. Plaza Athenee Bangkok (02-650-8800) September: Utage Japanese restaurant recommends its Sunday buffet lunch. Priced at 3,000 baht per person, the buffet includes an array of authentic Nippon fares from fresh prime sashimi and charcoal grilled meat and seafood to teppanyaki. Pullman Bangkok Hotel G (02-352-4000) September: Scarlett Wine Bar & Restaurant recommends dishes prepared with Australia’s sustainabl­y farmed Dorper lamb. Dishes include lamb carpaccio with truffle mousse and crispy parsley; lamb tartar with olive oil, garlic harissa sauce and hummus; lamb paupiette served with potato cake; grilled lamb T-bone served with potato cake; slow-cooked lamb shoulder served with grilled vegetables; grilled lamb chop served with potato confit, and herb crusted lamb rack served with ratatouill­e. Pullman Bangkok King Power (02-680-9999) September: A selection of à la cart French cuisine dishes are on offer at half price at the Wine Pub. They include Caesar salad with crispy prawns, home-made marinated smoked salmon heart, French bouchot mussels cooked in white wine, baby rocket salad with citrus and asparagus, grilled Argentinia­n beef rib-eye with Dijon mustard sauce, and grilled tiger prawns with Provençal vegetables. Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok (02-302-3333) September: China Table dim sum buffet boasts more than 30 delicacies such as steamed pork dumplings with crab roe, steamed lava buns, shrimp and pork dumpling in tea soup, pork ribs in black bean sauce, steamed scallop dumplings, deep-fried crabmeat with white onion and cream cheese and shrimp with lemon sauce. Vegetarian options are also available. Prices, inclusive of free-flow Chinese tea, are 688 baht per person on weekdays and 988 baht per person on weekends. Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit (02-649-8888) September: Rossini’s Italian restaurant highlights a number of Sicilian dishes by the hotel’s Sicilian executive chef. Dishes include Sicilian red prawn with lemon curd and mullet; traditiona­l maccheroni with sardine and breadcrumb; and grilled wild sea bass with cod tripe in plankton marino. Well Bangkok Sukhumvit (02-127-5995) September: The Twist Bar & Bistro introduces a new selection of sandwich lunch sets. Choices include Angus beef burger with bacon, mushroom and Emmental cheese; whole wheat opened sandwich with grilled onions, bacon, potatoes, melted Emmental and poached egg; Mexican grilled chicken sandwich with avocado spread, cumin, chilli powder, mayonnaise and tomato salsa; and Le Parisien Jambon Beurre baguette sandwich with soft butter, ham, Emmental cheese and lettuce. Price is 315 baht inclusive of French fries and soft drink. Royal Orchid Sheraton (02-266-9214) September: Boston lobster from the US is the hotel’s featured ingredient, with recommende­d dishes including lobster thermidor, marinated lobster salad served with red curry espuma, lobster ravioli and grilled lobster with chili-butter and glazed lemon. (02-236-7777) September: Salathip Thai restaurant’s featured dish is Phuket lobster with mild red curry. Stir-fried mantis prawn in Hong Kong black pepper sauce is a star at Shang Palace Chinese restaurant. Australia’s Murrayland­s lamb loin with bell peppers and foie gras ravioli is a highly recommende­d dish at Volti Ristorante & Bar. St Regis Bangkok (02-207-7777) September: The hotel introduces a new dining outlet called the Lobster & Burger Lounge, featuring dishes such as the Surf ‘n Turf burger comprised of Australian wagyu and half a lobster with herb aioli; Rossini burger with black truffle mayo, and whole Boston lobster roll with garlic and parsley butter sauce and wasabi mayo on brioche bun. All sandwiches are accompanie­d by truffle fries and salad. Prices start from 450 baht. Sukhothai Bangkok (02-344-8888) September: Celadon Thai restaurant recently launched its tasting menu dinner. Priced at 2,400 baht for a nine-course set and 3,600 baht for a 12-course set, the menu is prepared to authentic Thai recipes yet with modern techniques and presentati­ons. Dishes include Alaskan king crab with fresh bilimbi, coconut and shrimp paste dressing; Southern-style braised pork belly in five spices; and yellow curry with snow fish and toddy palm.
