The largest showcase of postage stamps in the beach town of Hua Hin will take place during the “World Post Day 2017” at Bluport Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan, from this Saturday to Oct 12.

A collaboration with Thailand Post to mark the World Post Day, which falls on Oct 9 of each year, the fair is held under the “His Late Majesty’s Aspiration For The Development Of The Community” concept to commemorate the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s royal grace and benevolence.

The six-day event will feature an exhibition that portrays his nine royal aspirations through postage stamps. They will be accompanied by quotes of his teachings on being a virtuous socially responsible person, honesty, loyalty, determination, altruism, unity, pride in our Thai heritage, education and development, and sufficiency economy.

A number of special stamp collections produced in memory of the late monarch will be available for purchase. Depicting six portraits of King Bhumibol carrying out his life’s work with his royal decree of building six Royal Development Education Centres across the nation in a 170mm-long stamp, this is the last collection produced under his reign.
