10-DAY FAIR FOR THE HOME AND GARDEN
The much anticipated Baan Lae Suan
Fair will return with a wide range of products and interesting ideas for home lovers, at Impact Challenger
Hall 1-3, Muang Thong Thani, from tomorrow to Nov 5. It runs daily from 9.30am-9pm.
Held under the theme “Remembering Our Guiding Light”, the 10-day fair will feature more than 3,200 booths offering everything pertaining to homes and gardens, including activities to promote the balance of interdependent living between humans and nature.
Divided into many zones, the fair will display demonstration houses designed under the “Divide-Connect-Abundance” theme, aimed to divide the usable space or resources for maximum utility while keeping members of the house closer through mutual dependence.
Presented under the “Backyard Garden” concept, the Garden zone will offer ideas on how to make small garden spots and relaxing corners out of the space around the house. Those interested in organic agriculture are invited to learn about soil-care and planting in free workshops.
Set in a cool atmosphere, the “Room Pavilion” zone will offer home-design products and a chic cafe called “Room Square”, while the exhibition-cum-workshop “My Home School” will come with many DIY home-decor ideas.
Books from the Baan Bae Suan publishing house will be available at the “Book House” zone, where visitors can come for advice on house maintenance, while chic handmade stuff will be offered at the “Baanlaesuan Art And Craft” zone.
Another highlight is the “Art Gallery” zone showcasing prints — including wood prints — that portray King Bhumibol. They were created by Prof Thavorn Ko-udomvit and Jakkree Kongkaew. At least 1,000 printed portraits of the late King and 1,000 souvenir notebooks will be given away daily at 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm. There will also be a competition on cacti and succulents on Saturday, orchids on Oct 30-31, ferns on Nov 1 and bromeliads on Nov 3-4.
