-

RS Plc will recruit 10,000 salesmen to power its Lifestar line of business, which last year drove the company’s revenue to 5.3 billion baht.

Lifestar expects to create a new phenomenon in the health and beauty business by introducing Lifestar BIZ direct sales unit, recruiting business owners to join the team.

The company expects 10,000 people to apply to become business owners this year, pushing revenue from its health and beauty business to 2.5 billion baht, up 80% from last year. Total revenue is projected to be 5.3 billion baht.

RS chief executive Surachai Chetchotisak said the health and beauty segment will keep growing because Thais are very aware of this lifestyle.

Lifestar BIZ shoppers will receive discounts of up to 70% and can join lucky draws to win aroundthe-world trips.

The company will recruit business owners through its call centre 1214, website, and Lifestar BIZ app for Android and iOS. The app allows shoppers to buy products from its e-catalogue around the clock, and to receive updates on products and promotions.

RS will support the sales activities and promotions of Lifestar BIZ owners to help them achieve sales targets. RS also owns Channel 8, one of top digital TV channels in Thailand, four satellite TV channels and a No.1 radio station, through which it can reach target consumers cheaply.

This year, the company expects to launch new products like S.O.M. Me More, S.O.M. Goldivas, S.O.M. Lingzhi Sun, S.O.M. C-max and Slix.

RS has 700,000 customers and expects to reach 1.5 million by the end of the year. Close to 80% of its customers are in the provinces, with the rest in Bangkok.

The company has plans to develop a Line Pay system for those interested in buying products through @shop1781 on Line Shop. In the future RS wants to distribute beauty products through modern trade channels such as beauty stores.
