AUSPICIOUS ART [Emporium Gallery, M floor of Emporium, Sukhumvit Road, 10am-9pm, until
tomorrow] Presented by Singapore’s Lotus on Water galleries in collaboration with UOB, the “Colours Of Prosperity And Elegance: The Feng Shui Art Of Emeritus Master Yun And Lotus On Water” is a feng shui- themed art exhibition showcasing 108 paintings and sculptures worth 1 billion baht. Also displayed are master Yun’s collection of paintings that can glow in the dark under UV light. Each painting is rendered in precious materials such as 18K and 24K pure gold and silver. Most of the works in the show are painted on a special paper known as dong

ENERGY LANDSCAPE IN 2050 [EmQuartier’s Quartier Gallery, Sukhumvit Road, 11am-8pm,
until tomorrow] Organised by Shell Thailand, the “Make The Future Thailand” exhibition features innovations in energy, technology, mobility, and futuristic cars, together with the direction of energy utilisation in 2050 to cope with future energy challenges. Also showcased are future technology and innovations for the home, a race car powered by salt water and 14 eco-marathon vehicles designed by Thai university students. MAGNIFICENT COSTUMES [CentralPlaza Phits
anulok, 11am-8pm, until tomorrow] The “Magnificent Costumes” exhibition features applied textiles from Phitsanulok province, 200-yearold woven fabrics from Uttaradit, gold jewellery worth 20 million baht from Sukhothai, as well as accessories whose designs are inspired by fabric motifs and created by instructors and students from Naresuan University’s Faculty of Architecture, using 3D printing innovation. Each day will see a fashion show of contemporary costumes made from different kinds of fabrics, at 5pm. There will also be a special fashion show of special costumes and Sukhothai gold jewellery presented by a troupe of models led by a famous actress and a former beauty queen, today at 2pm. RIGHT TO CLEAN AIR [Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, Pathumwan intersection, 10am-9pm,
until Jan 28] Greenpeace Southeast Asia is holding the “Right to Clean Air — The Art Exhibition” featuring artworks made from dust from various places to raise awareness on the threats posed by small dust particles. Items on display include three life-size sculptures portraying a child, a mother and an elder to refer to the air pollution crisis; an installation of more than 20 leaves covered in dust; and a collection of photographs showing the sources of the particulate matter less than 2.5 microns in size. 9am-4pm Wed-Sun, until Feb 18] Held to mark the 130th anniversary of Thailand-Japan relations, the “The History Of Japanese Art: Life And Faith” exhibition features 130 antiquities and art objects that represent all periods of Japanese history from the Jomon to Edo periods. Items include archaeological materials, earthenware pottery, sculptures, paintings and fine arts that reflect the uniqueness of Japanese culture. Admission is 30 baht (200 baht for foreign visitors).
