Benihana teppanyaki restaurant introduces new beef selection of US Prime T-bone. January: Zoom Sky Bar & Restaurant introduces new gastro menu prepared with fresh artisan ingredient­s. Highlighte­d dishes include seafood bouillabai­sse with garlic melba and saffron rouille; roasted duck with orange and ginger infuse beet root, sweet potato and Asian coleslaw; and steamed Canadian lobster with risotto, artichoke, Parmesan cheese and lobster oil.

January: The Rain Tree Cafe Sunday buffet brunch features unlimited lobster among a wide range of internatio­nal cuisines from interactiv­e live cooking stations as well as fresh oysters, seafood on ice and a selection of all-you-can-order à la carte menu. January: Alaskan scallops are the highlighte­d ingredient of the month at Dynasty Chinese restaurant. Expect to find dishes such as Hong Kong-styled rice parcels with scallops and kale; steamed scallop dumplings with caviar; steamed marinated shrimp balls with scallops and spicy sauce; pan-fried scallop dumplings; and deepfried taro stuffed with scallops.

January: Red Sky restaurant introduces a brand new seasonal tasting menu inspired by an abundance of European winter truffle and vegetables. The five-course meal features dishes such as Hokkaido scallops with black winter truffle and caramelise­d endive; chestnut broth with foie gras custard and white Alba truffle cream; roasted fillet of lamb with black olive powder and glazed vegetables; and chocolate cream with yuzu sherbet and cocoa crisp. Price is 2,955 baht per person. Optional wine pairing costs 1,999 baht per person. Every Saturday night, the World restaurant presents all-you-can-eat seafood buffet at 1,899 baht per person. The line up includes crab, river prawns, oysters-on-ice and rock lobsters as well as other internatio­nal dishes, desserts, plus free-flow draft beer.

January: The Glass House features its Grand Weekend Buffet on Fridays and Saturdays for dinner and Sundays for lunch. January: Nishiki Japanese restaurant presents a salmon festival with dishes such as aikyo mutsukimi don; salmon steak; salmon hoiru mushi; salmon kabutoni; and salmon yaki teri. January: From Monday to Thursday, Espresso’s buffet dinner features the world’s finest varieties of oysters including Fine de Clair, Coffin Bay and Smokey Bay. Oysters are served both freshly shucked and in gourmet dishes such as oysters Rockefelle­r, cauliflowe­r oyster gratin, oyster frittata, oyster roll with pork and bacon in mushroom sauce, oyster stuffed bell peppers, oyster polpettone, stew of white bean with oysters and chorizo. The buffet is priced at 1,400 baht per person. Pigeon is the seasonal ingredient at Summer Palace Cantonese restaurant. Dishes include crispy deep-fried pigeon with Sichuan pepper or spiced salt; double-boiled pigeon and bamboo pith in Chinese mushroom soup; sautéed pigeon with bitter beans and home-made chilli paste; and braised pigeon in clay pot.

January-February: New York Steakhouse and Manhattan Bar recommend popular varieties of oysters from the United States, France, Australia and Ireland. The shellfish is served in four different styles, from freshly-shucked with Tabasco, mignonette and lemon; baked with dried cherry tomato and chimichurr­i sauce; and classic Rocke feller topped with spinach and hollandais­e; to Kilpatrick-styled broiled with red onion, bacon and Worcesters­hire sauce. January: The Square buffet restaurant features dishes prepared with imported Canadian lobster at 199 baht net per dish. The lobster is offered as an extra item to complement a wide array of allyou-can-eat fresh seafood such as king crab, fresh oysters, mussels, crab, shrimp and Babylon snail as well as beef, lamb and desserts. The buffet is priced at 1,350 baht including free-flow soft drink.

January: Bar9 Beer Garden recommends a new selection of East-meets-West pizza. Toppings include spicy tom yum shrimp; sour and spicy Thai-styled chicken and herb salad; sautéed chicken with basil and Chinese-styled roasted duck. The pizza is priced at 280 baht per pan.

January: Yamazato restaurant features authentic flavours of Japanese winter ingredient­s through its gozen lunch set, 1,300 baht, and multi-course kaiseki dinner menu, 4,500 baht. Dishes include herring fish roe with crabmeat and maitake mushroom; soup of monkfish liver dumpling with citrus zest; grilled Spanish mackerel and scallop with yuzu confit and sansho pepper; salmon with sake lees and turnip; and tempura assortment of shrimp, snow crab and pond smelt. Meanwhile, at Elements restaurant lobster is the seasonal star. Recommende­d dishes are lobster tartare with smoked potato ice cream, soba, fennel flowers and nori wafer; chilled lobster salad with avocado, organic herbs, dashi jelly, orange and miso sauce; poached lobster and sautéed Hokkaido scallops with grilled white asparagus sauce and yuba; lobster and sole à la nage with potato ribbons, fennel, zucchini, shimeji and mitsuba; and chargrille­d whole lobster with white miso and young vegetables baked in a salt crust. Dishes include lobster comfit on truffle stracciate­lla, artichoke and sun-dried tomato; Hokkaido scallop with porcini, celeriac purée and squid ink tuile; and Black Angus short rib with balsamic glazed, pumpkin gnocchi and vegetable roots. Mikado Japanese restaurant’s ingredient of the month is unagi (freshwater eel). Available at both lunch and dinner, dishes include unagi nigiri sushi, hand-rolled scone sushi with unagi; unagi sushi roll with cheese; and unayu rice box.

January: Every Friday night, NEXT2 Cafe presents a “surf and turf” internatio­nal buffet dinner at 2,200 net per person. Expect to find premium imported meats and seafood to be prepared to your preference from live-cooking stations. On Saturday and Sunday, the restaurant presents family-style weekend lunches at 1,980 baht per two persons including one sharing dish from the special menu.

Expect to find an array of oysters on ice; tuna tartare; roasted kurobuta pork; piri piri chicken; charcoal barbecue wagyu flank steak, pork spare rib, miso cod and homemade sausages; Yorkshire pudding, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese; and a wide selection of desserts such as apple crumble, strawberry tart, chocolate brownie and ice cream and sorbet.
