Info Service (AIS) is joining hands with Turner Asia-Pacific to launch two US channels, CNN and Cartoon Network, for mobile access in Thailand.

Thai audiences will be able to access news from around the world and popular cartoons via the AIS Play application.

CNN, one of the world’s biggest news channels, features news, special reports and in-depth analyses from around the world, 24 hours a day.

Cartoon Network offers many well-loved shows such as Ben 10, The Amazing World of Gumball, Adventure Time, The Powerpuff Girls, OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes and We Bare Bears.

Both channels further complete the overall content offerings on the AIS Play app and AIS Playbox, satisfying the needs of all target groups.

To date, AIS has 42 channels, including CNN and Cartoon Network. Turner has six channels on AIS Play, including Warner TV, HLN and Boomerang.

AIS customers will receive a special promotion to watch CNN and Cartoon Network free for seven days, until Feb 22, through AIS Play and AIS Playbox.

Somchai Lertsutiwong, chief executive of AIS, said CNN’s portfolio of news and information services reaches more than 425 million households around the globe.

“The quality of AIS’s video platform and network will be able to give Thais seamless access to new, exciting content,” he said.
