To assist foreign tourists, the department is providing 40 people with foreign-language skills, Mr Anan said.

“Volunteers are ready to give assistance so that visitors, Thais and foreigners, can fully enjoy this spectacular royal winter festival,” he said.

The volunteers will be stationed at the information counter on Feb 21, Feb 27, March 5 and March 11 to provide all-day assistance. The first group of 20 volunteers will be on duty from 9am to 4pm, while the second group’s shift is from 4pm to 9pm.

On Fridays and Saturdays, service hours extend to 10pm.

The fair is a new royal festival to showcase Thai identity through the beauty and charms of traditional Thai customs.

The festival features spectacular flower and fountain gardens, exhibits on the royal works of Thai Kings, and various activities bringing to life the Thailand of bygone days.

At the adjacent Sanam Suea Pa, visitors can buy products from various royal projects to support rural communities and take photos in traditional costumes.
