The Incursion Trio from Singapore will give a Bangkok debut concert of chamber music at Siam Ratchada Auditorium today at 7pm.

Presented by D&M Music Studio in co-operation with Yamaha Ratchadaphisek Music School, the evening will see three celebrated musicians Siew Yili (violin), Lin Juan (cello) and Beatrice Lin (piano) delivering a programme of classical delights.

The repertoire includes Faure’s Piano Trio, Op 20, Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No.1, Op 49 and Ravel’s Piano Trio as well as Bruch’s 8 Pieces, Op 83 (Nos.1,2 and 7).

The trio was established in 2008 and made their debut at the Académie de Musique Tibor Varga in Sion, Switzerland. Their recitals and performances in their homeland have garnered positive reviews and two years later they were invited to perform Beethoven’s Triple Concerto at the Singapore Conference Hall.

They started their “Back To Beethoven” concert series in 2015, bringing his complete music for piano trio to the Singapore audience for the first time. They also presented the Singapore premieres of piano trios penned by Claude Debussy, Ernest Chausson, Arthur Foote, Joaquin Turina as well as local composers Phoon Yew Tien and Chen Zhangyi.

To celebrate their 10th anniversary this year, the trio are embarking on their first Asian tour. After Thailand, they will head to perform in Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan. Tickets at the door cost 300 and 600 baht. Siam Ratchada Auditorium is on the ground floor of Fortune Town, Ratchadaphisek Road. Call 081-682-8000.
