New Chao Phraya bridge opens

CHAI NAT: A new bridge across the Chao Phraya River in Muang district opened to light traffic yesterday for a 45-day trial.

The 510-million-baht Thammajak Bridge mostly serves students and government officials, with vehicles using it to take them from from tambon Ta Chai to the central municipal area.

The bridge is expected to help motorists who are heading to the nearby district of Wat Sing or Uthai Thani province shave 15-20 minutes off their travelling time.
