Italian contemporary dance performance
E.sperimenti GDO dance company from Italy will make a comeback to the Kingdom with a new contemporary dance performance, Attacchi Di Pane, at the Small Hall of Thailand Cultural Centre, Ratchadaphisek Road, on May 29 at 7pm.
Presented by the Embassy of Italy, the choreographic work of Federica Galimberti touches on an ancient yet very actual theme — “Man In Society”. The audiences will be involved in a path where fears and weaknesses, particularly the human ego exaltation, will come on stage.
Bread, the metaphorical protagonist of the show, is the “mere” answer to a vacuum that any individual tries to fill with his aspirations and daily fears, which are overcome only if he gets “into the group”, the “society”, where he can be recognised. However, man is hungry of something that he can never achieve alone.
Comprising enthusiastic young performers with different background and experiences, the Italian dance company is reputed for being an artistically innovative ensemble with various dynamics and different styles ranging from breakin’ to contemporary, from modern to floorwork, from theatre dance to acrobatics.
The show is part of the “Italian Festival in Thailand 2018 Special Edition” held to mark the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
There is no admission fee but registration is required via eventbrite.com.
