Service expo to open in the land of hospitality
The much-anticipated “Thailand Retail, Food & Hospitality Service 2018” will kick off this Thursday and run until Sunday from 10.30am to 7.30pm, at Bitec Hall 102-103, Bang Na-Trat Road.
Organised by Kavin Intertrade, the 12th edition of the expo will bring over 1,000 product brands from almost 40 countries to showcase at 600 booths and seven pavilions from Korea, Taiwan, China and Malaysia. Among the 360 exhibitors are those from Italy, Singapore, India and the US.
The products cover a full range of hospitality including kitchen equipment (ovens, bakery equipment, refrigerators, freezers and utensils); food and bakery ingredients; tableware; coffee equipment and accessories (espresso machines, grinders, bean roasters, syrups); buffet line; food and bakery packaging; lifestyle products; furniture and cleaning equipment.
This is a one-stop shopping and sourcing in preparation for the upcoming high season and hoteliers and food service operators will update themselves with the latest product technology.
The expo is also packed with competitions. They include chef and pastry chef competitions where the winners will represent Thailand in the international culinary competitions, a bartender contest, and the first ever “Thailand National Siphonist Championship, where the winning barista will compete in the World Barista Championship.
Other activities will be food and bakery workshops, where experienced chefs from the Thailand Culinary Academy will create new dishes using different ingredients and will give away recipes for those engaged in food and bakery businesses.
Also running at the same time under the same roof will be two related events — the 14th edition of “Thailand Franchise & Business Opportunities” and the third edition of “Asean Retail”, where retail operators can update themselves with the latest products and technology for their businesses.
