(Transfigured Night) Op 4, Rachmaninoff’s Third Piano Concerto and Janacek’s From The House

ROYAL CELEBRATION CONCERT
(Thailand Cultural Centre, Ratchadaphisek Road, today at 8pm) Maestro Michel Tilkin will conduct the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra (RBSO) in a programme of two symphonic works for “A Royal Celebration Concert”. The first piece is Symphony Of Rattanakosin composed by Narongrit Dhamabutra, who chose four royal Thai compositions to serve as the symphony’s melodies. Another piece is Fantasia On Themes Of His Majesty The Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej

PIANO RECITAL

Phrao 41, tomorrow at 4pm) The Gift of Life Foundation presents a piano recital by San Jittakarn as part of the “Thai Talents At Sala Sudasiri Sobha” concert series. The young brilliant Thai pianist with many national and international awards under his belt will show his technical dexterity in a challenging programme that includes works by Scarlatti, Chopin, Debussy, Gershwin and Schumann. Proceeds will go towards the Gift of Life Foundation’s efforts to help blood-disease patients with financial difficulties and Chulalongkorn Hospital’s Bone Marrow Transplant Club.
