Fans of Lego in Thailand should brace themselves, as the “Bricklive: Built For Lego Fans” sets about challenging their imagination at the Plenary Hall of Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Ratchadaphisek Road, on July 26-29 from 10am to 8pm.

The largest brick-themed event in Southeast Asia, the four-day Bricklive tour will come with over a million Lego bricks to offer an interactive experience allowing visitors to get their hands on a huge range of different Lego elements, to witness rare collections and to have a closer look at life-size models of tuktuks, ninjas and the Krunk bear.

There will be many zones open to Lego lovers of all ages. The Brick Pits zone allows visitors to sculpt their own works using standard-size system bricks from the red and green pits and larger yet easier-to-handle bricks for small children from the Duplo pit.

Star Wars, Ninjago, Friends and Minecraft bricks will be exhibited at several Lego themed Bricklive build zones while the Race Track zone is where visitors can create their own brick cars to race against one another and take a photo with brick-made trophies.

Lego aficionados are also invited to construct their favourite buildings using 1,000 white bricks at the Architecture zone. To help spur the imagination, the City and Map Build zones offer a chance to design and construct a functioning metropolis on a giant map of Thailand filled with houses, cars and anything else one might want to see in it.

For fans with particularly artistic minds, there is the Graffiti Wall zone, where they can place brick designs on a wall to produce their own Lego street art.

Another highlight is the Fan zone which showcases rare and unseen Lego collections of long-time collectors and builders, as well as creations by Thai Lego builders.

Tickets cost 350 baht per person (500 baht including a souvenir and a 150baht Lego voucher) for a four-hour tour. They can be purchased from Thai Ticket Major outlets (visit thaiticketmajor.com or call 02-262-3838). For group tickets, call 02-262-2256.
