SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak, fourth left, recently presided over a global forum on sustainable development, ‘SD Symposium 2018’, hosted by Roongrote Rangsiyopash, fourth right, president and CEO of SCG, with Peter Bakker, second right, president and CEO of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, also attending the symposium held at The Athenee Hotel Bangkok.

HOTEL AWARDS: Suthikiati Chirathivat, chairman of the board of Centara Hotels & Resorts, gave the company’s Hotel of the Year award to Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya, which was received by Denis Thouvard, general manager, and its GM of the Year award to Chaiphun Thongsutham, general manager of Centra Maris Resort Jomtien Pattaya, at the ‘GM Conference 2018’ held at Word Ballroom, Centara Grand at CentralWorld. APPLICATION LAUNCH: Prof Bundhit Eua-arporn, president of Chulalongkorn University, together with Kattiya Indaravijaya and Patchara Samalapa, presidents of KasikornBank, launched the CU NEX mobile application that aims to help optimise teaching and learning processes as well as enrich students’ on-campus experience, at an event held at Siam Square One.
