Everything Siam tulips
To celebrate HM Queen Sirikit’s 86th birthday, the Emporium is holding the “Emporium EmQuartier The Queen Of Tropical Rainforest 2018” exhibition at the Emporium Gallery, M floor, Sukhumvit Road, from today until Aug 13.
Held in collaboration with Play La Ploen Flora Park in Buri Ram, the Embassy of the Netherlands and the Support Arts and Crafts International Centre of Thailand, the six-day exhibition will feature a 7m-tall installation of Hanuman Protecting The Siam Tulip dyed and scented fabrics. Rama Pavilion, decorated with more than 100,000 plants and flowers, including Siam tulips and Holland Hydrangeas imported from the Netherlands.
The event will also introduce a variety of processed Siam tulip products including 100% naturally dyed fabrics made from different colours of Siam tulips of different species. These fabrics are naturally softer than those using synthetic dyes.
Products made from Siam tulip-dyed fabrics such as purses, bags, clothes and scarves will also be available. This is the first time a new scenting technology integrates a unique scent of Siam tulips to these products.
There are also spa products made from Siam tulip extracts and ready-to-eat foods that use Siam tulips as the main ingredient such as miang kham (bite-sized leaf wraps), chilli paste and crispy rice snacks.
