Thais injured in Gaza crossfire
ISRAEL: A 30-year-old Thai woman was among several people taken to hospital in Israeli with moderate to severe injuries, after being caught in deadly crossfire between Gaza militants and Israeli forces in the Eshkol region bordering the Gaza Strip, AFP reported yesterday.
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Busadee Santipitaks, said initial reports on the clash from the Thai embassy in Tel Aviv, said the minister counsellor for labour had visited her at the hospital where she being treated.
Ms Busadee added that another Thai national — a male worker — also sustained minor injuries. Gaza militants earlier fired some 180 rockets and mortars into Israel, provoking Israeli air strikes in the enclave that killed three Palestinians, including a toddler.
