Striker Adisak recalled for friendly matches
SCG Muang Thong United striker Adisak Kraisorn has been recalled to the national team for the two upcoming friendly matches.
Thailand will play Hong Kong away on Oct 11 and take on Trinidad and Tobago in Suphan Buri three days later.
Newcomers Anon Amornlertsak, Supachai Chaided, Marco Ballini and Worawut Srisupa are also in coach Milovan Rajevac’s squad announced by the Football Association of Thailand yesterday.
Japan-based stars Teerasil Dangda, Theerathon Bunmathan and Chanathip Songkrasin, however, were not included in the 23-man team for the match in Hong Kong.
But Rajevac announced an extended 27-man team for the Trinidad and Tobago game on Oct 14 which is also the testimonial match for goalkeeper Sinthaweechai Hathairattanakool.
Striker Teerasil, defender Theerathon and Chanthip are in the team.
Injury-prone Adisak has just returned from a long-term injury and played for his club in the final stretch of the domestic season.
The former Buriram United and BEC Tero Sasana striker has made 25 appearances for the country and scored eight goals.
The two friendlies are part of Thailand’s preparations ahead of their defence of the Suzuki Cup next month.
Rajevac said players, who are not in the squad for the two friendly games, could still earn places in the team for the Suzuki Cup.
The Serb said he would not call up Teerasil, Theerathon and Chanatip for the Suzuki Cup as the tournament is not sanctioned by Fifa and clubs cannot be forced to release their players.
