Diplomatic Charity Bazaar at Central World
The much-anticipated YWCA Diplomatic Charity Bazaar 2018, boasting a myriad of quality products from around the world, takes place this week at Central World, Ratchadamri Road, from Thursday until Sunday.
Organised by spouses of ambassadors and diplomats in Thailand in association with YWCA Bangkok, the 65th edition of the international fair will feature exclusive goods from 42 countries including Malaysia, the Netherlands, Poland and Slovakia.
A total of 223 booths, situated on every floor of the shopping complex, will be offering special prices on products, making the four-day event a great opportunity to pick up presents ahead of the upcoming festive season.
Among the items worth looking out for are pasta, olive oil and coffee machines from Italy; salmon from Norway; egg tarts from Portugal; Victorinox Swiss Army knives, clocks, watches and pens from Switzerland; ginseng and cosmetics from South Korea; and Argan oil from Morocco.
There will also be consumer goods from the US; tea leaves, coffee beans, macadamia nuts and local accessories from Kenya; Armenian wine and brandy; batik and jewellery from Indonesia; virgin olive oil from Greece; and skincare products, Manuka honey, cereals and children’s products from New Zealand. The fair is also a chance to indulge in baked goods from embassies, famous shops and leading hotels. Part of the proceeds will be donated to a variety of charity projects.
