Power of health will help people and business grow together.
As a public healthcare service provider, we realise the importance of the health of our people. For us, health promotion policy is not implemented only to abide by laws or regulations, but it is our mission to improve the health condition of our employees as it will benefit the efficiency of the overall operation. In many organisations, medical check-ups are a compulsory health promotion but it is just to follow regulations. The results are not really taken seriously. For Phyathai & Paolo Hospital Group, we realise that check-up results will serve us well in people development. Moreover, with our knowledge and expertise in health, we use the health data to initiate health promotion programmes and health performance management systems of our own. We also adopt the comprehensive science of occupational medicine, called Total Lifestyle Modification (TLM) to standardise our workplace environment with a focus on wellbeing and happiness of our employees. We believe that the power of health is key to the success of our business. Every day, our employees have to face pressure and stress that is a typical environment in hospitals. We believe that if our employees have good physical condition, they can handle greater volume of tasks or any negatively emotional circumstances in their work. In addition, if they have fundamentally good health, they will also have a good mood that is so important in a service business like ours. Positive energy will automatically be unleashed from inside out that customers can feel. Following our health promotion programmes, the outcomes are so positive. Customer satisfaction rates and operative efficiency are greatly improved.” I was impressed with the concept of Thailand’s Healthiest Workplace by AIA Vitality project. This is a very useful project. The in-depth clinical data offers an effective tool to measure our effort on health promotion, keep us on track and realise what we need to do more. Today, the traditional performance assessment of absence rates isn’t working because it cannot tell of genuine efficiency or the performance of individual employee. Unhealthy employees are a problem that increases the inefficiency rate. The solution is to make our employees healthy. Therefore, health empowers the future of our business.
