E-licence mobile app launched TRANSPORT:
The Department of Land Transport (DLT) yesterday launched a mobile phone application for motorists to show their e-driving licences. Department chief Peerapol Thawornsupacharoen said the application can be downloaded for both Android and iOS systems, after which the user can link their driving licences to QR codes issued by the application. The police and the DLT will use the application’s digital database to record traffic violations committed by e-driving licence holders, said Mr Peerapol. The application can also remind motorists to pay their fines on time, display personal medical data in cases of emergency, and vehicle locations, he said.
