Raid catches man with child porn

A 23-year-old man was yesterday arrested and charged with possessing child pornography, local police said. The suspect was later identified as Chakkrit Uthonpong, who lives in tambon Nachak of Muang district. Local police raided his house yesterday after obtaining a search warrant from the provincial court. The arrest followed a tip-off from Thailand Internet Crimes Against Children and the United States’ National Center For Missing and Exploited Children, which managed to track multiple downloads of child pornography to his computer by monitoring his IP address. Local police said they had confiscated a notebook and a mobile phone that they believed was used by the suspect to access underage pornographic content.
