Pupils can think too

-

So Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon thinks that high school pupils who created floral arrangements with political themes must have been put up to do it. Presumably this is because he thinks that pupils are unable to think for themselves.

And no doubt, such pupils would be well-suited to joining the army later in life, where they get told what to do and are not required to think. And in the twilight of their careers, when they have reached high status — not by merit but through making the right connections — then they might join the government. Makes sense to me.
