After successful editions in Manhattan and subsequently China, Malaysia and Singapore, the Skechers Friendship Walk makes its Bangkok debut at Nongbon Water Sports Center, Chalerm Phrakiat Ror Kao Road, on June 23 starting at 5am.

Organised under the concepts of happiness, smiles and friendship by Skechers Southeast Asia, the fun race is expected to draw 3,000 participants to join this inspiring event.

All proceeds will go to help women, particularly the underprivileged who are diagnosed with breast cancer, at Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer Foundation.

Along the 5km route, there will be Skechers family games including the Maze, the Rainbow Slider and the Giant Slider.

There will also be a costume contest with a reward on offer and singer Rose Sirinthip will be there to top up the fun with her mini-concert at 7.45am. All finishers will receive a medal and top the 100 finishers will also get a limited-edition finisher towel.

The registration fee is 650 baht for adults, 550 baht for children and 1,000 baht per family of three including at least one kid, all inclusive of a race pack which contains a T-shirt, cap, bag and bib.

Launched in Manhattan Beach, California, in 2009, the Skechers Friendship Walk is aimed to spark joy, bring people together, motivate everyone to be the best version of themselves, and inspire everyone to support those in need. All proceeds of the events have been going to various foundations for nine years.
