Taiwan fair takes over EmQuartier
There is a lot to dine and shop for during the EmQuartier Taiwan One More Time fair, which will return to the EmQuartier shopping complex from Friday until Sunday.
Held in collaboration with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand, the fifth edition of the fair will bring Taiwanese specialities to the heart of Bangkok in the form of Taiwanese-style night market at the Quartier Avenue, ground floor.
This is a good chance to try Taiwan’s favourite treats such as gingko lin, a healthy premium snack made with natural ingredients; authentic Taiwanese tea and home-made shaved ice from Wan Desserts; signature pineapple cream-cheese pie from the Pastry Secret; ginger tea drink; peanut ice cream roll, a famous treat from Yilan County; Castella, a soft sponge cake; and Gua Bao, Taiwanese steam bun with pork belly.
A variety of souvenir shops will exhibit at the night market and everyone is invited to join a DIY lantern workshop to be conducted by Taiwan Tourism on Sunday at 4.30pm, free of charge.
The fair will also introduce all of Taiwan’s favourite tourist destinations at the Quartier Gallery, M floor. Available at special prices are travel packages from leading hotels in Taiwan and such airlines as China Airlines, Eva Air, Tiger Air Taiwan and Nook Scoot.
There will be two special talk sessions on Friday featuring Rina Izuta from BNK48 at 5pm and Katha Chinabanchorn at 6.30pm. Travel bloggers will also be there to share their travel experiences in Taiwan on Saturday and Sunday.
The fair runs daily from 11am-9pm. There is no admission fee.
