THURSDAY: PwC Thailand’s Symposium 2019, “Connecting the Dots: Managing Corporate Challenges in 2020 and Beyond”, takes place at Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at Central World. One of the key topics is managing challenges driven by the development of accounting standards and the digital-led environment.
FRIDAY: The International Trade Promotion Department invites entrepreneurs of Thai branded products to attend the seminar on the Top Thai Flagship Store at the Tmall global website by Alibaba in order to expand sales opportunities. The seminar starts at 1pm at Bitec, Room MR211.

WEDNESDAY: The Business Software Alliance (BSA) will organise the “Legalise and Protect” press conference at Grande Centre Point Terminal 21. The event aims to reduce corporate use of illegal software in Thailand. Opening remarks will be made by Tarun Sawney, senior director of the BSA, and a representative from the Economic Crime Suppression Division.

THURSDAY: SCB Investment Forum 2019, “Predict the Unpredictable 2020”, takes place at Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok. The forum starts at 1pm and features special guest speakers from leading asset management companies who will share their perspectives on the investment market in 2019.
The “Tencent Road to 2020” press conference by Tencent Thailand managing director Krittee Manoleehagul is scheduled for 10am at Waldorf Astoria Bangkok. The topic is consumer trends and Tencent’s strategy in Thailand for 2020.

WEDNESDAY: The Office of Basic Education Commission organises the 12th annual congress for teachers’ professional development, EDUCA, at Impact Muang Thong Thani. The theme of “The Power of Learning Community” aims to increase
understanding that the power of learning community, which can enhance the quality education, is not the responsibility of a certain party, but is rather the duty of everyone in society.
THURSDAY: The 20th Thailand Energy Awards ceremony organised by the Energy Ministry’s Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency department will take place at Bitec.
The Thailand Management Association by Technology Innovation Management Group (TMA-TIMG) in collaboration with the Foundation for the Promotion of Science and Technology under the patronage of HM the King (Promotion-SCITEC) will host the Outstanding Technologist Awards and STI Forum at the Athenee Hotel. In its fifth year,
the Science, Technology and Innovation Forum will focus on the theme “Turning Science & Technology into Business” and feature global experts and successful and experienced practitioners who will share different approaches to business-led STI.
EXHIBITIONS
MONDAY: ICC International in partnership with Maya Lifestyle Shopping Center, Chiang Mai, and Lagardere Active Enterprises present Elle Paris Atelier and Elle Homme brands at the Maya Lifestyle Shopping Center. The exhibition runs through Oct 27.
THURSDAY: The Bangkok Persian Carpet Exhibition 2019 is at River City Bangkok, Oct 17-Nov 24. Organised by Art on Da Floor, the exhibition features hand-knotted Persian carpets worth more than 50 million baht. The opening event will be held at 6pm on the third floor of River City Bangkok.

The group has a number of projects under construction in Thailand.

THURSDAY: The International Trade Promotion Department organises Style Bangkok, an international trade fair with a variety of lifestyle products, including gifts, home decor, furniture and fashion. Held at Bitec, the fair is a combination of the Bangkok International Fashion Fair and Bangkok International Leather Fair, the Bangkok International Gifts and Bangkok International Houseware Fair and the Thailand International Furniture Fair. Style Bangkok is open to the public Oct 20 and 21.
