“Living Transformed” is the theme of the Baan Lae Suan Fair 2019, which kicks off on Friday and runs daily from 9.30am to 9pm until Oct 27, at Impact Challenger Hall 1-3, Muang Thong Thani.

Organised by Baan Lae Suan (Home And Garden) magazine, this year’s edition will feature over 3,200 booths offering a wide range of furniture, decor items, construction materials, bathroom accessories, home construction services, plants, garden accessories, electric appliances, bedding items, design products and innovative products.

The fair will be divided into several zones each presenting creative new ideas for living improvements to meet every kind of lifestyle. Among the highlights is a replicated family home in the “Show House” zone that depicts a confluence of ideas about turning old stuff into cool new things.

Another highlight is the “Living Transformed Garden” in the “Show Garden” zone. Designed by prominent landscape architect Warawut Kaewsuk, it invites visitors to learn how to fix things in the garden to give their home a fresh start and make it a better environment in which to live.

The “Garden Of Ideas” zone features a modern Japanese rock garden with a tea corner, ornamental bonsai, stone lanterns and granite water basins. The design has been adapted to suit the environment in Thailand while retaining a distinctive Japanese character.

The “My Home” zone presents a multifunctional space concept and shows how to make the most out of the laundry area at the rear of the house and tidy up the play area and family room.

Another attraction is the “Play Box” zone by Room magazine, an open space designed to encourage dialogue and welcome everyone in the community. The focus is on connecting people through ongoing social interactions and mixed-use planning.

A new addition to the fair, the “Pet Friendly Zone”, is designed as a rendezvous for visitors who bring their pets to the fair. It features a garden filled with plant species that are safe for cats and dogs, allowing them to play and socialise. There will be a further zone reserved for a plant competition divided into four categories: cacti and succulents on Oct 19, orchids on Oct 21, plants with colourful foliage on Oct 23 and bonsai on Oct 25.
