Sukosol family sings for charity

Kamala Sukosol and her talented children — Marisa, Sukie and Noi — will be back with three rounds of the annual charity concert titled “The Sukosol Family: The Music & The Show” at Sukosol Hotel, Si Ayutthaya Road, from tomorrow until Saturday at 8pm.

The family will be performing a repertoire of hit songs including Shallow from the blockbuste­r movie, A Star Is Born, with Marisa giving a moving rendition of I’ll Never Love Again. She will also perform a couple of crowd-pleasing rock anthems from Elton John’s biographic­al musical film Rocketman.

The Sukosol family will revive the popular animation, The Lion King, with a rousing performanc­e of Circle Of Life

by Kamala while her grandson Finnegan will take to the stage to sing I Just Can’t Wait To Be King with his father Noi.

To commemorat­e the 10th anniversar­y of Michael Jackson’s passing, the fast-paced musical extravagan­za will feature a medley of his best loved hits sung by Noi who will also showcase some of his most recent hits from his new album, including a touching duet with his mother titled It’s Not The End.

Another highlight is to see the grande dame of jazz take on Ariana Grande’s pop R&B cover version of My Favourite Things from the movie The Sound Of Music.

All performanc­es will be backed up by a big band orchestra conducted by Piti Kayoonpan. The three evenings will also see Tanee Poonsuwan lead a fantastic chorus of singers and a troupe of beautiful dancers from the Aree School of Dance Arts, rounding out the talented cast.

Tickets cost 1,500, 2,000, 2,500, 3,000 and 3,500 baht for the show on Nov 21 and 23 while tickets for the Nov 22 concert cost 45,000 and 50,000 baht per table of 10, including a gala dinner at 7pm.

Proceeds will go to the Princess Sirindhorn Craniofaci­al Center to provide critical healthcare to Thai children suffering from severe facial deformitie­s.
