Come see the sea in the heart of Bangkok

-

The large space in front of CentralWorld will be transformed into a paradise island full of music and seaside activities during the Koh Sawat Haadthip festival, which will take place this weekend from 10am-10pm.

This is the first festival of fun with an ambience of the southern sea ever held in the heart of Bangkok. It is organised by Haadthip to mark its 50th anniversary of having been licensed to bottle and distribute Coca-Cola products to 14 southern provinces of the Kingdom.

The two-day fun will bring together famous artists from different genres of music — pop, hip hop, dance, rock and folk — to give mini concerts. Carabao, Pongsit “Poo” Kampee, Jenny and Lily, Paradox, Patipan “Mos” Pataweekarn, Nuvo, New Jew and Twopee will take to the stage on Saturday.

The Sunday line-up includes Maitri, Ammy The Bottom Blues, The Keylookz, Ben Chalatis, Tata Young, Christina Aguilar, Jay

Jetrin, Modern Dog and Thaitanium with Wonderframe as a special guest.

Expect to have fun with games such as limbo rock, football, sling shot, ring toss, gun shooting and a dunk tank before going for a foot massage and getting pampered at a beauty salon.

Famous shops and restaurants will be there to serve delicious southern Thai cuisine. They include Kan Eng 2 and Kieng Lay Seafood. A refreshment bar will also be available.

There will also be an auction of T-shirts hand-drawn by 50 famous stars and celebrities including Aff Taksaorn, Cheer Thikamporn, Pae Arak, Janesuda Parnto, Aerin Yuktadatta, Woonsen Virithipa, Janie Allapach Na Pombhejara and Puri Hiranprueck.

Proceeds from the auction will go to the Princess Mother’s 100th Year Honoured Fund, Faculty of Dentistry, Prince of Songkla University, to provide treatment for patients with cleft lip and cleft palate.

There is no admission fee. Visit haadthip.com or facebook.com/ cokehaadthip.
