- Visit iconsiam.com or call 1338.

A group of Thai artists are joining hands to offer moral support to Korat residents following the mass shooting last month that killed 29 people. The art installation, “Iconsiam Thais Give To Thais: Artist Hearts For Korat” is being held at Iconsiam Art Space, 8th floor of Iconsiam, Charoen Nakhon Road, until March 15.

This is the first time more than 30 works by noted local artists from the central and the northeastern regions are exhibited under the same roof during “Appreciate Art: Full Of Merit”. It features works by Jitsing Somboon, Pairoj Wangbon, Chaiwut Thiempan, Santi Thongsuk, Saengthong Ket-uthong and Nakrob Moonmanas.

There is a DIY workshop where participants will learn to screen-print a T-shirt and a cloth bag using their own style. It is conducted by Sunthorn Channiwet every Saturday at 3pm. Seats are limited to 30 people.

Another special activity is “Meet The Icon” featuring a series of workshops led by leading artists. Tul Hirunyalawan will offer some photography tips and techniques tomorrow; Chalit Nakpawan will give guidance on acrylic painting on canvas on Saturday; and Noppera Bosri will present basic caricature drawing on Sunday.

A workshop on printing for silkscreen will be conducted by Jitsing Somboon on March 14 while Nakrob Moonmanas will show how to design a poster in a collage style on March 15. Workshops begin at 2pm.

Available for sale at special prices are screen-printed T-shirts and cloth bags by five top artists — Amrit Chusuwan, Sakwut Wisesmanee, Chalit Nakpawan, Sutee Kunavichayanont and Chaichon Sawantaraj. Proceeds will go towards a fund for the Nakhon Ratchasima Municipality.
