Flight to bring back Thais waits in Italy

-

RESCUE: The Thai embassy in Rome is coordinating with Thai Airways to set up a special flight to bring back Thais stranded in Italy.

“The flight might be offered on March 30, but at least 250 tickets will need to be booked for that to happen. Passengers will have to pay for their own tickets, which will cost 750 euros [about 27,000 baht] each. Those who have already booked a ticket from Rome or Milan can also apply for this flight,” the embassy said on Facebook.

The embassy also said it will provide information about where Thai passengers can go to get a “fitto-fly” medical certificate and will provide information on the flight as soon as possible.

Thais who were ready to travel were asked to send in a request by emailing consolato@ambthai. it or by calling +393338518071 by 6pm yesterday.
