Man nabbed for raping own niece

SURAT THANI: A 38-year-old man was arrested yesterday on suspicion of sexually assaulting his fouryear-old niece five years ago.

Police said the suspect, identified only as Kittisak, was wanted on an arrest warrant issued five years ago by the Wiang Sa Provincial Court. The warrant was issued after the victim’s parents filed a complaint against Mr Kittisak after learning he had “sexually abused their daughter” at his house in tambon Na San of Ban Na San district in March, 2015. Mr Kittisak denied the allegations.
